KDSN Pathways is Kern Down Syndrome Network’s monthly family education series designed to support individuals with Down syndrome and the people who care for them through meaningful learning, connection, advocacy, and community.
Held on the second Saturday of the month from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, KDSN Pathways brings together educational workshops, developmental support sessions, sibling connection, and family resources in one welcoming and inclusive space.
Our goal is to help families feel more informed, supported, connected, and empowered at every stage of life.
Our Approach
At KDSN, we are committed to creating educational opportunities that focus on the unique experiences, strengths, and support needs of individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
KDSN Pathways was created to provide practical, meaningful, and community-centered programming that helps families navigate everyday life with greater confidence and connection. From early childhood development and advocacy to communication, inclusion, independence, and social development, our goal is to provide resources and conversations that truly meet families where they are.
While many of our sessions focus specifically on Down syndrome-related topics, we also recognize the importance of broader conversations that support inclusion, family empowerment, safety, education, and access to services.
Every KDSN Pathways Lunch & Learn includes bilingual support to help ensure families feel welcomed, included, and able to fully participate.

Our Lunch & Learn sessions feature guest speakers, specialists, educators, therapists, advocates, and community partners sharing practical information that families can use in everyday life.

0-5 Developmental Series
Our 0–5 Developmental Series supports families of babies, toddlers, and young children with Down syndrome through early developmental education and connection.
These workshops focus on practical strategies families can use at home while helping parents better understand developmental milestones, early intervention supports, communication development, and social-emotional growth.

This series is especially valuable for families who are newly navigating a Down syndrome diagnosis or learning how to access developmental supports.
Sibshops-coming august 2026
Sibshops are supportive and engaging workshops created specifically for siblings of individuals with Down syndrome.
These sessions give siblings an opportunity to connect with peers who understand their experience while building confidence, connection, empathy, and support through guided activities and conversations.
